    Chris Caulfield

Chris Caulfield is a singer/songwriter based just outside of Toronto, Canada, who artfully blends elements of alternative rock, hip hop, and dark pop to create cathartic soundscapes that touch on themes such as anxiety, depression, and chronic pain.

Playing in bands around the Toronto area in his teens and early twenties, Chris found himself on a unique path early, and was blessed to spend the next decade managing his own businesses and starting a family, bringing a wealth of events and experiences to tap into musically. No stranger to strife, however, over the years Caulfield has struggled with chronic pain, depression and anxiety, and has grappled with challenges and experiences which he explores in his music and with which many listeners can relate.

Enduring one of the toughest periods of his life coming into the pandemic, Chris found solace in music, through which he was able to take painful experiences and channel them into deeply moving songs that have resonated with a broad audience.

After putting out his first single in over a decade in mid-2021, Chris has been steadily releasing new music and collaborating with a variety of industry players to get his unique voice heard. Recently, his track “Feelings” — the first single off a project planned for later this year — garnered more than 350K streams across platforms. It was then remixed by a Grammy-nominated EDM producer (“Feelings – StoneBridge Indie Anthem Remix”), a testament to its strong lyrical and melodic qualities.

Chris’s music has been praised by notable Canadian and U.S. critics and music reviewers (Darryl Sterdan/Tinnitist, Cashbox/Record World Intl, Thatericalper.com and more) for its exceptional production and well-crafted songwriting. His “expressive and outstanding vocals show a strong signature of inspiration and talent” that “strikes with its emotional frankness” (Chillout Vibe). His sound brings to mind a hybrid of acts like Call Me Karizma, MISSIO, Silversun Pickups, 21Pilots, and Post Malone, with vocal influences that range from Raine Maida, Billy Corgan, Alanis Morisette, and Thom Yorke, to acts like 10 Years, Oasis, and David Bowie. Chris crosses genres fluidly, with elements of alternative music, cloud hip hop, emo hip hop, and art rock woven beautifully throughout his catalog of music. Chris has touched many listeners by blending his singular style of songwriting with powerful resonant messages about mental health and pain.
